Hey everyone. I have this species I made awhile ago and decided I wanted to flesh out the lore behind them and make them into an official species. I love them a lot so I'm excited to share them.

Back during the Great Depression, times were tough for people, and people sought to escape the troubles of their daily lives. Due to this there was a serious boom in 'sin industries'. Alcohol and the cocktail industry took off despite the ban on booze, and gambling and casinos also took off.
That's where our story begins, starting with a woman named Victoria.
Victoria became involved in this industry after her husband lost his job and eventually abandoned her, leaving her to fend for herself. Finding a job as a lady at the time was incredibly difficult. Her passion was baking, and she knew she couldn't afford to purchase a shop of her own, at least not with ease. She decided to take to the sin industries and began a brothel in her home. Of course, this was highly illegal, but she needed the money and the risk for her was not enough to dissuade her from achieving her passions of baking.
However, as time progressed, Victoria felt the money and power get to her. She not only enjoyed it, but eventually became obsessed with combining her passions and her newfound 'career'. Even after the Great Depression ended, and her years of age began to dawn on her, she never gave up her old passion, and took to hiring eccentric men and women of science. The first series of experiments were never successful, albeit they were horrible failures. But as they pressed on and kept pushing the limits, they finally created what they were aiming for: a lustful creature with intense skills and stamina, a slowed aging process where they maintained their youthful beauty, combined with foods themselves.
After Victoria passed on, her progeny took over the science of these creatures they dubbed 'Pastry Puffs'. They were originally meant to be solely sexual partners (hence why all wear some form of lingerie) or some being exotic dancers, but they evolved into a species capable of other things, many being skilled cooks or bakers, and some even as healthcare companions. Now they are a species that has autonomous will, and while their origins may be shaky, they have become a species of beings all their own.

Pastry Puffs are humanoid, kemonomimi creatures, sporting pastry or sweets-themed tails and ear accents. Their kemonomimi features can vary between pretty much any land mammal, having no difference or affect on rarity.
When a Pastry Puff is born, they have no distinct gender (are intersex), and their tail and ear accents start out as plain sugar cubes. They usually get a distinct 'pastry' tail and ear accents when they hit around age 10, and usually their biological sex is determined when they're roughly 5-8 years old (though some may wait until much later, or never choose a sex). Their bodily, biological fluids are made up of the liquified version of their pastry, too.
All Pastry Puffs wear some form of lingerie, BUT they can wear clothes other than their lingerie, too. The reason behind this being that they receive their lingerie at age 18 as a sort of 'coming of age' ceremony, which has been a tradition of their species for many years.
Most Pastry Puffs also have heightened skills relating to foods, such as baking or cooking, though there are other abilities such as others being able to identify certain smells or odors, or being able to choose to turn off their taste buds.

Species Introduction

Lumoreas are creatures were originally born from the collective thoughts and dreams of humans. The first born were able to manifest and materialize in the dream plane before escaping through a tear in reality and coming into true existence.

The rumor has it that the ancient creation goddess Mother Ivy helped facilitate this process, but without any evidence, this is merely a legend for the time being.

Habitats and Life

Since they came into existence and were discovered by humans, they have become a favorite household companions for humans, often bred to act as caregivers or aids.

The most rare and reclusive ones most often live in the wild still, typically in thick wooded areas, jungles, or even volcanic climates and icy tundras. Most tend to live in packs or tribes in these cases, but others may act nomadic and live on their own or drift from place to place.

Biological Sex and Romance

When a Lumorea is born, they are born without a specified gender, as they are born with genitalia that is genderneutral.

Their sex becomes known after about a period of 3 months, during which their genitalia has changed to match their biological sex. Their nipples can either be exposed or hidden underneath fur, and their private areas are most often hidden under a tuft of fur, too.

Gender however, like humans, can be chosen by the Lumorea if they feel their initial sex doesn't align with the gender they feel they identify with. When they can choose their gender, they are able to change their sex, too, but it will take roughly 3 months for their biological sex to evolve to match their gender.

Romantic relationships can be formed with anyone of any sex or genders (depending on the individual Lumorea's preferences), though most of the time, Lumoreas will court their fellow Lumoreas. Cross-species relationships don't occur too often unless the Lumorea lives with other species and the Lumorea population is much smaller (such as being very integrated with humans).

Traits

Lumoreas can have a large mix of traits, there is no more specified rarities anymore.

I: Origin

Through the span of time, there have been countless individuals who have lived in the universe, and among those countless creatures, there have been infinite dreams. Sometimes a dream can become so vivid that it takes form, and becomes another being in itself.

A creature formed of the clouds of dreams, the dust of sleep, and the limitless imagination of the mind. These creatures live in every layer of time, in each dimension...anywhere where dreams can be found. Sometimes they will appear to people to help them fall asleep when they are troubled or disheartened, hence why some say they 'count sheep' before they doze off. Others come to feast on the nightmares of people. How many there are, we cannot know exactly, but we know for sure of their existence...these are the Lullaby Lambs.

II: Appearance

Lullaby Lambs are beings composed purely of dreams, be them the most sweet dreams or the most horrible nightmares.
They are humanoid creatures that have a mix of traits that resemble cattle, sheep, and goats. At creation, they are born androgynous, so they can choose their gender. They can also change gender if they desire to later on.

They have large soft ears, a collar (composed of dream clouds), a set of horns, a tail, and hoofed feet. On their left hand, they have a Seeing Eye, which can either predict the future, or, if it's malevolent, rewrite the past. Their Seeing Eye never blinks, but it can look around freely. Some can even see out of it.

In their right hand, they usually carry a Dream Septre, filled with Dream Dust; this septre can usually be handheld or a staff, but those who prefer to exist among modern humans sometimes wear their sleep septre as an accessory, such as a necklace or an earring.

They also have an animal companion composed entirely of dream clouds, called Sleep Sheep, which (despite the name) can appear as a sheep, rabbit, any small animal, or just a simple cloud-like creature. They can change to whatever shape they desire.

III: Classifications

There are 5 classifications of Lullaby Lambs: Dreamy (common), Nightmarish (uncommon), Phantom (rare), Euphoric (super rare), and Corrupt (mythic).

Some time ago...
The cola company, Pip-Pop Cola, was slowly sinking in a bit of a financial crisis. The owner of the company dearly loved his company, of course, and seeing it collapsing before his eyes made his heart ache. In a bit of a final desperation in order to save Pip-Pop, he decided to collaborate with his dear friend to create a promotional item to help sell their colas.

Their new creation was a small humanoid doll that would come with each bottle. But after presenting it to the board, their idea was shut down.
Defeated and exhausted from trying, the company owner brought the small cola-themed doll home with him and left it aside, forgetting about it and brainstorming ideas on what to do with his failing company.

That was until his daughter found the 'doll'. Being a young child, she was enthralled by the little thing, and, without her father being aware, began to play with it. Hours went by, and before she went off to bed, she left the doll where she had found it to avoid getting caught and reprimanded by her father.

The girl's curiosity got the best of her, though, and late at night, when her parents were asleep, she went off to the location where the doll had been resting in order to play some more with her new friend. But to the girl's surprise, the doll was nowhere to be found. Where was it?

The girl's surprise turned to shock when she found the small doll, standing a couple inches tall, waving politely at her. Bubbles and the sweet smell of cola emanated off the little creature as she greeted the girl.

Where had this doll been?
The company owner's daughter investigated a little, and found an opened bottle of cola next to the doll...the cola shared the same flavor as the scent the doll gave off.
Somehow the cola had brought this 'doll' to life. The reason how was unknown, but as the girl reported this to her father, a brand new idea to save the company came to mind.

Successfully, they were able to replicate the effects of the doll, but there was a catch.

The cola itself didn't bring them to life: rather the purpose and desire of the buyer of each doll did.
Pip-Pop Cola became Pip-Pop Creations, and now to this day, they distribute Pop Pixies as their number one seller.

Species Info

Pop Pixies are small humanoid creatures that somewhat resemble little dolls. They stand a couple inches tall, and they sleep and live in Pip-Pop Creations Cola Bottles. When in their bottles, they're usually curled up in a little ball. They get out of their bottles either by turning into pop bubbles and then reforming into their humanoid form (usually female ones do this), or taking a more malleable 'slime' form to slide out and then reform into their humanoid form (male ones typically do this).

Pop Pixies' hair and skin coloration depends on their type of cola. Their coloration corresponds to their soda flavor (example: grape soda will have a more purple skin and hair coloration and clothing palette). They always leave a trail of bubbles and their cola's scent wherever they go.

They act very similarly to dolls or pets, and need attention quite frequently. They love to be dressed up, have their hair brushed, and to be patted or pet on the head. Pop Pixies also lay dormant in their bottle until they're brought to life by their owner, but on some occasions, they can come to life on their own.

Generally they are very small, but sometimes they can be larger (even human-sized, too), upon the buyer's request to the creator when ordering their Pop Pixie.
